Volkswagen has unveiled the new model of its Phideon, which belongs to the luxury saloon model category.
The German car giant said that the new car shows features that distinguish it from the previous model, including lighting the company logo, with an LED lighting strip On the radiator grille, the Passat-inspired chrome trim, and simple styling modifications to the front apron.
The rear side of the car has new headlights and a new signature in the name of the version, with capital letters.
Interior with a 9.2-inch screen, for controlling the multimedia system, Head UP screen, night vision function, and a small refrigerator between the two rear seats.
Volkswagen offers the new luxury car an air suspension package, to give more comfort.
The Phideon uses a 3-liter engine with 224 hp / 350 Nm of maximum torque, and is teamed up with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The German company’s sales during the first half of 2020 were affected by the Corona pandemic, as its revenues decreased by 23.2% on an annual basis, to record 96.1 billion euros.
The sales volume during the comparison period decreased from 5.339 million units to 3.736 million units, That is, a decline rate of 30%.
This coincided with the decline of the units produced from the company’s cars by 32.5%, to fall in the first six months of 2020 to 3.662 million units, compared to 5.442 million units during the same period of 2019.
