New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Saturday that he would allow cinemas outside New York City to reopen on October 23 after a months-long hiatus due to the Corona virus.
Cinemas should work at a quarter of their capacity, with a maximum of 50 viewers in front of each screen, in counties with an infection rate of less than 2% on average, for a period of 14 days. And there are no foci of infection.
Movie-goers will have to wear masks, except when sitting down and eating or drinking. Theaters will have to meet air filtration and ventilation standards.
The governor announced the move at a press conference, Saturday, and said that New York is making progress in addressing the hotspots of the spread of Covid-19 in some areas of the state, including Brooklyn and Queens in New York City.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said, Saturday, that the total number of Corona injuries in the United States has reached 8 million and 28,332 cases after an increase of 70078 injuries over the previous census, while the number of deaths increased. To 217,918 after the disease killed 1001 others.
And the American centers recorded their outcome of the cases of the respiratory disease known as Covid-19 at 4 pm Friday, compared to the statistics they recorded before one day.
US Centers ’statistics do not necessarily reflect cases recorded by each state separately.
